Manufacturing Technician

Hyperion Technology Group is currently seeking a Part-Time Manufacturing Technician.  This person must have graduated from High School or completed an accredited GED program, hold a valid Driver License and have a clean driving record, be a United States Citizen and at least 18 years of age.  Although not required, prior experience working in a machine shop or industrial environment is a plus.  Students or recent graduates from a Tool and Die, CNC Machine or Industrial Maintenance program are encouraged to apply.

Duties for this position may include, but are not limited to:

  • Warehouse inventory control
  • Operation of manual and CNC machine equipment
  • Shop cleaning and organizing
  • Preparing and receiving shipments
  • Delivery and pickup

Purchasing / Inventory Specialist

Hyperion Technology Group is currently seeking a full-time Purchasing and Inventory Specialist.  The ideal candidate will have experience in technical purchasing (preferably in the government contracting context) and inventory control.  A college degree is preferred, but high school graduates with at least four years of relevant experience will be considered. Experience in shipping (including exports) and receiving is a plus. Candidates must be United States citizens.

  • Handling the Company’s purchasing needs, including compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations.
  • Maintaining inventory control.
  • Responsibility for shipments (including exports) and receiving.

Electronics / Electrical Design Engineer

Hyperion Technology Group, Inc. is seeking an intermediate level Electronics/Electrical Design Engineer with good work ethic, willingness to contribute as well as learn, and commitment to growing with our company. This engineer will be involved with product design, prototyping, testing and production. Specific areas of interest should be analog and digital electronics design, power supply design and power consumption reduction techniques, sensor integration and exploitation, analog to digital conversion, embedded processing, PCB design and layout, electronics and mechanical integration and packaging, as well as general electronic/electrical engineering tasks.

Candidate uses and applies basic software engineering technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques associated with C and C++ software development. Candidate will work under general supervision developing solutions to a variety of challenging technical problems as they relate to software development. Candidate will follow established procedures and will contribute to the successful completion of software related milestones associated with specific projects including C/C++ software development, design, code, unit test and formal testing. Candidate will interact with senior software personnel on a situational basis and has knowledge of emerging software technologies. Candidate is required to produce documentation related to the design and release of software artifacts and is expected to give formal and informal presentations to senior software personnel.

Required Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience in a relevant environment
  • Expertise in Electronics Design both Analog and Digital
  • Expertise in Printed Circuit Board Design and Fabrication
  • Proficiency with Altium Designer
  • Expertise in Electronics Testing, Trouble Shooting, and Debug
  • Expertise in Data Collection and Analog to Digital Signal Conversion
  • Experience in Integration of Embedded Processors (Microcontrollers, FPGAs, CPUs)
  • Ability to work in a team setting and contribute unique ideas to the group
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
  • Must Interface with Customers at a Technical Level

Desired Skills:

  • General knowledge of Networking principles and protocols
  • Experience with UNIX/Linux environment
  • Experience with Matlab, C#, Qt
  • A current Secret security clearance is a plus
