Additive Manufacturing Lab

Hyperion incorporates the advantages of 3D printing technologies into both the prototyping and production of our products. Our 3D printing lab includes several FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) printers, which are essential for rapid prototyping and fixture development, and support our DOD contracts and commercial projects.

The print lab has several SLA (Stereolithography) Resin printers that have produced parts that are incorporated in production products that can utilize their ability to create geometries that are impractical or impossible to produce using conventional machining techniques, such as small-scale air or fluid manifolds used in calibrated test stands. Ultimately, Hyperion’s 3D printing capabilities improve the efficiency of development and production by relieving the machine shop of some of the earlier stages of prototyping that would have taken considerably more time and expense in the past.
