Embedded Firmware Development
Our Capabilities
Hyperion specializes in firmware and embedded systems development across a wide range of platforms and applications. Our engineers design and implement software for both bare-metal and RTOS-based systems using C/C++, assembly, and low-level driver development. Supported real-time operating systems include FreeRTOS, Zephyr, and ThreadX, often integrated with Xilinx (AMD) Zynq UltraScale+ SoC platforms for hybrid FPGA/CPU solutions. For Linux-based systems, Hyperion builds custom embedded Linux distributions through Yocto, incorporating kernel drivers and patches to support unique sensor configurations and high-performance requirements.
Our experience spans numerous interface standards—UART, I²C, SPI, CAN, LIN, SMBus, I²S, eMMC, LVDS, and PCI—enabling seamless hardware integration and communication. We also design FPGA logic in VHDL and Verilog for applications in sensor fusion, digital signal processing (DSP), and power control. For advanced robotic and perception systems, our engineers utilize ROS I & II (Noetic, Humble, and Jazzy) along with OpenCV, supporting both single and multi-robot architectures. This comprehensive expertise allows Hyperion to deliver embedded solutions that are efficient, scalable, and optimized for real-world performance.
