U.S. Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith and members of her staff visited Hyperion Technology Group on Friday, spending the day touring the company's production floor and meeting the engineers, machinists, and technicians behind its advanced manufacturing, counter-UAS (C-UAS), and gunshot detection systems.

The visit gave Senator Hyde-Smith a close-up view of technology that Hyperion has been developing and refining in Mississippi: systems designed to detect and counter unmanned aircraft, sensors that pinpoint the location of gunfire in real time, and the precision manufacturing processes that bring both to life. Hyperion leadership, including CEO Chad Williams and Derek Schulte, VP of Product Development, walked the Senator through demonstrations of each capability and explained how the company's Mississippi-based team designs, builds, and tests the systems in-house.

From the briefing room, the tour moved to Hyperion's production floor, where Senator Hyde-Smith saw firsthand how raw materials become finished systems, from machined components to fully assembled units ready for deployment.

Before wrapping up the visit, Senator Hyde-Smith stopped by a display of finished and in-progress components, giving her a side-by-side look at the range of precision parts Hyperion manufactures for its systems.
The visit closed with a group photo of Senator Hyde-Smith alongside the Hyperion team. Hyperion Technology Group thanks Senator Hyde-Smith and her staff for taking the time to visit, and for their continued support of Mississippi's defense and advanced manufacturing sector.

“Senator Hyde-Smith has been a steadfast supporter of Hyperion, and we were honored to have her spend the day with us. She got a full overview of what we do here: the technology that helps keep our communities safe, the systems that protect the warfighter, and the automation systems we design and build.”
